Description

Time to introduce a new character from my 19th century story "Fading Colors" I won't spoiler too much though. Hayato is a high-ranked conservative Samurai (as opposed to the more open-minded Asamori Miyamoto). The yellow crest you see is the Tokugawa family crest. That's all I feel I should share right now... I'm sorry but I'm thinking about publishing the story someday so the details have to remain confidential ;)

On a different matter: A while ago I tried out different coloring styles for my stylized characters. I sat down for 3 whole days looking at different rendering styles... European woodcut, watercolors, digital manga rendering, etching, pencil, screentone and finally the WORST disaster: Cell-Shading PAM PAM PARAAAAAM My cell-shading result was kinda :iconshit-plz: lol Finally I favored the flat toned ukiyo-e inspired rendering (and I still like it). BUT since I recently couldn't resist to paint more realistically (it was too depressing to learn all the facial muscles and not be "allowed" to render them on my characters) I gave it a shot with Hayato. If it works with all of my characters I might keep this style :)
Hmmmm.... Somehow I can't shake off this feeling, that he could be a street-fighter character :iconlazykickplz: GYAAAAAAAA!
