Finally! After almost half a year I finished my first (educational) Flash application
It was really hard work!
The whole thing started as a concept for scientific illustration class at my university. Although making an actual working application wasn't required at all I just couldn't resist - this was my chance to learn Flash and AS3.

As for the illustrations, I decided to mix vector graphics and watercolors. At that time we were introduced to different painting materials in class and I really liked the Winsor & Newton watercolor tubes
It really makes a difference what materials you use especially when working with watercolors!

visually, the mix between watercolors & interactivity is a success, love the design. and as to the "teaching" part, it's easy to understand yet pretty complete. kudos!
